    Gameweek 1
    Kittens v Cobras
    Knights v Fangs
    Punters v Brumbies
    Test Eagles v Somestars

    1. BH Borisc
    [IMG]
With a target of 194 set by the Knights, Borisc dominated in an unbroken opening partnership with Hauritz, scoring 121 off the runs in just 133 deliveries.

    2. T Nickler
    [IMG]
Nickler's 101 proved the driving force in the Cobra's successful chase of 204.

    3. C Golding
    [IMG]
Although on the losing side, Golding's knock of 89 allowed the Knights to avoid the embarrassment of being skittled by the Fang's high-quality bowling lineup.

    4. BR Hall
    [IMG]
Hall's 95 came at nearly a-run-a-ball, and this speed of scoring came in handy when his team - Punters - scraped their way to a 10-run victory.

    5. HBK Teja
    [IMG]
Teja's classy 89 enabled his side to post a total of 237 - a total that proved a step beyond Somestars' reach.

    6. RA Boy (WK)
Boy's partnership with Meister enabled the Kittens to post a semi-respectable score of 204. He also performed admirably with the gloves.

    7. CB Darts
    [IMG]
Darts smashed 67 off just 38 to push the Brumbies close to the Punters' score of 246, and contributed 3/60 off his 10 overs.

    8. SA Humble
    [IMG]
Humble claimed 3/37 off his 10 overs and was a key part of a bowling line-up that kept the Knights to an easily-chaseable target

    9. BOY Blunder 10. KF Tait
    [IMG]
The opening pair took all 10 wickets between them, claiming 5/41 and 5/47 respectively.

    11. JHF Howe
    [IMG]
Howe took 4 wickets, but arguably more impressive was his economy rate at the death. He only conceded 8 runs in his last 5 overs, an amazing feat.

    Player of the Week:
A tough one, but it has to go to Jake Howe for his amazing bowling at the death.

    Summary
    Borisc
    Nickler
    Golding
    Hall
    Teja
    Boy (WK)
    Darts (5)
    Humble (4)
    Blunder (1)
    Tait (2)
    Howe (C) (3)

Special Orders: Howe at the death.

With the player of the week.

    Just joking but. :p

I thought his death bowling clinched it :p

Can't see anyone that would beat him tbh.

  8. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Stormer would come close

  9. MrPrez CM Dyer

Yeah but that insane economy that went along with Howe's wickets did it for me.

  10. The Half Back JW Taylor

I think it's important, when selecting OD teams of the week, to actually pick middle overs bowlers to bowl in the middle overs. Those who open and bowl at the death are going to have better looking figures than the middle overs blokes as a general rule here, so teams are just going to end up with four opening bowlers all the time if you don't factor that in.. like they did here.

  15. MrPrez CM Dyer

Fair enough, I'll keep that in mind.

  16. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Marshall in for Humble? Figures were much of a muchness...

Adams bowled well also... but didn't bat so hard to pick him.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah, the team he named actually had fast genuine quicks in it who all opened the bowling and bowled at the death. They may have got the best figures but the times they bowled had a lot to do with that, and if you picked a team like that anyone who bowled in the 20-40 over period would get smashed. It'll be more of a challenge finding bowlers who did well in the middle overs but it'll be more representative of what's gone on.

  18. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Yeh didn't even think about that.

Out of the 4 seamers left its a tough call... Need Darts' batting and the other 3 very similar. Just noticed the 4 man tail too.

  19. MrPrez CM Dyer

Yeah Darts is only in because of his batting tbh, he was the only guy who bowled and batted decently so he got the nod over better bowlers.

Humble would have to go imo.

Generally want two spinners at least in there though. Stormer is one but personally I wouldn't want him bowling 10 overs (off back of this week) so Id say drop one of me, Tait or Howe for an AR to bowl spin/meds... and put Marshall in for Humble.

No point editing this weeks one now though tbf.
