    Is Gonzo this season. No doubt he's gotta be cut from the Origin scene. Has scored less runs so far this season than he has fingers and toes. Averages well under most specialist bowlers. Shouldn't even be in first grade.

    No. It should go to an opener in form at a new club where solid groundwork will be hard to lay and to score an average of over 40 would be a phenomenal effort considering the circumstances. Pressure to perform at a new club is ridonkulous, let alone at a brand new club.

    Should go to me though.

    Queensland team can't win anything anyway... so don't bother cutting people there. Just the useless ones on the NSW team who are used as space fillers, to make the comp more even. Time to dominate harder starts now.

    Gonzo rarely outperforms you at club level; there's no doubt you're the better batsman there. His record for New South Wales is much better than yours though - you were dropped after 12 games in Blue when your average was hovering just above 30, whereas his has been in the high 30s/low 40s for ages. You made up a bit of ground on him last season by hitting that hundred when you came in as an injury replacement, and then he didn't do too well after that, but the spots are decided more on long-term rep performances than club form. It's close though, so he's still averaging < 30 when Origin rolls around you'll probably get the nod.

    It's good to see you back on the forum though; also good to see you starting threads and generally giving a shit, tbh. We actually have a defined schedule now if you hadn't noticed, where games are simmed or specific dates. It's all on the calender:
