Is the bowling wide open?

    AFAIC it is. Scores of people could take the most wickets IMO, especially considering people want 5 bowlers. There's no absolute standouts these days besides maybe Murali.

    I'll be interested in which spinner takes the most wickets.

    I'm hoping Murali takes a ton of wickets, our quicks are pretty weak so he'll be key for us.

    He's having a bad year, averaging 40 or so.

    Didn't look that threatening against the Kiwis in the test a few days ago either.

    He's not sooo good, but I don't think he'll get abused. VDW will likely get the nod because he's proven himself over a much longer period, and he's a better bat.
