Julian's 2016 NRL Predictions

    Last year was the first year in ages I didn't make my own thread and was actually pretty bang on.

    Pretty simple stuff.

    Projected 2016 Ladder

    1. North Qld Cowboys
    2. Brisbane Broncos
    3. Melbourne Storm
    4. Cronulla Sharks
    5. New Zealand Warriors
    6. Canberra Raiders
    7. Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
    8. South Sydney Rabbitohs
    9. Penrith Panthers
    10. Parramatta Eels
    11. Sydney Roosters
    12. St George Illawarra Dragons
    13. Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs
    14. Newcastle Knights
    15. Gold Coast Titans
    16. Wests Tigers

    Will do it in random order. Best 17s are what I think are their best lineups.

    Kenny Edwards, Bureta Faraimo, Mitchell Cornish, Kaysa Pritchard




    Strengths: Strong attacking backline. Jennings, Takairangi, Foran, Norman and Radradra have points in them. Solid starting pack on paper and the 9s weekend should give them plenty of confidence.


    Weaknesses: There's no halfback. Both halves have been pidgeon holed into corridoors for years, back up half Cornish is exactly the same too. An injury or two and they'll really struggle up front and Michael Gordon's getting on.


    Key Players/Coaching Moves: Getting the halves to work, pure and simple. And keeping Foran on the park.


    Verdict: Will play soem exciting football but an injury or two will cruel their season. Won't be terrible: 10th.

    Michael Gordon can't ball play for shit (or pass for that matter), will be a massive reason while they'll struggle this year.

    Bullshit. You were 9 from 17 when Johnson got injured. They would've scraped into the 8 and been obliterated by the first decent side they came across.

    I had no idea you had superpowers to see what would have happened, MF. Impressive.

    We were top 4 after round 18. Then our game-breaking star and one best players in the world broke his leg and things went pear-shaped. (Hence the new captain)

    If SJ had stayed fit we could have won the comp.

    But I guess we'll never know now.

    Wow. You really are capable of some incredible dishonesty.

    1.You cannot accuse others of foresight when you yourself just claimed they would've been top 4 for sure. That is the very definition of hypocrisy.
    2.Just as dishonest as the above is using round 18 as a jumping off point. How convenient. Problem is, as you well know, Johnson wasn't injured until round 20. After they were hammered 24 blot by Easts in Rd19, the Warriors were 7th.

    So yeah, once again your arguments dissolve like a sugar lump in hot tea.

    What I posted was fact. Nothing dishonest there. I never said we were top 4 the moment Johnson broke his leg. I even gave you the round there of 18 so as not to seem like I was suggesting that, which was pretty close to when he broke his leg two games later.

    You needed to say "they probably would've scraped into the 8 and been obliterated by the first decent side they came across"

    You stated it like it was fact.

    Fact is, we were only a win or two away from being top 4 again.

    So my argument stands firm. They had a very good chance of being in the top 4 if he hadn't been ruled out for the rest of the season....imo

    You literally just went back and edited the post responding to Gemmell to now include the word "probably." Wtf is wrong with you?

    I honestly don't know if you're unbelievably stupid or you're just trolling. I didn't state anything as if it was a fact.

    And yes I realised I posted an opinion that may have sounded like I was stating something as fact, something that I just criticized you for doing...so I edited my post as well...just to be fair.

    You're extremely unpleasant to talk about anything with tbh MF. Learn some social skills man.

    The Warriors only managed to beat 2 top 8 teams all year, the Sharks and the Storm a few days after Origin 3.
