    Awarding this to Frizzed with League Lover as his backup.

    The reason why I'm awarding this to Frizzed is that he's shown a great interest in RU Sim, and he was instrumental in helping me identify a couple of bugs during the build phase; even if he may not be aware of it. He's also got more chance of playing for the reserves as some point than the other Hurricanes candidate.

    The role of the selector is to take the reserves and unselected players for the Hurricanes & Sharks and assemble a team. The selector has an obligation to treat players from each team equally and to play them in their preferred position where ever possible. If at any time I think that the selector is showing marked preference for the players of their own team, I will replace them.

    If Frizzed hasn't named a team, or needs any assistance on how the Hurricanes want their players to be managed, then he can use League Lover to help him.

    FTR, can Heef confirm who plays reserve grade? At the moment it's gotta be people who aren't in the starting XV presumably, as if we take first XV subs out of the equations we will only be looking at teams of around 7 or 8 players.

    If someone starts from the bench but is playing more minutes than a starter, the starter should play reserves IMO. Common sense really.

    Don't know of many subs that play more minutes than the player they are replacing unless someone is having an absolute mare (and I don't know if there is a 'player having a shit day' claus built in to this sim?)

    People starting in First Grade can't play reserves. Also, subs that play greater than 40 minutes can't play reserves.

    I suspect this will only matter if someone gets injured early in the first half as I can't imagine many tactical substitutions happening in the 1st half.
