    Nah, it was a good knock and pretty much guaranteed that our quotient was good enough. Whether or not you getting out meant we didn't win... it's irrelevant. Bigger picture is we made the final.

    Leave it at that I think. Don't think it needs explaining.

    I'd only claim to bat 6 because I think I should be batting ahead of you, which is 7 if Graham is in the side. But we should both be batting ahead of Eddie, so that means you up to 7 and me to 6 IMO. However, if Luffers does that it's a bit inconsistent. You're ahead of me because Luffers thinks you'll make more runs than me, so I expect him to keep me a spot behind you.
    Don't see how you can pull out the "I'm not a number 6 and I'd be kidding myself if I was". One of the major arguments when I was kept at 8 was that 7 may as well be 8, so I can't imagine there being much difference between 6 and 7.

    But you'd consider putting Laing in the Test team if Tyson got injured :ph34r:

    I've kind of warmed to batting 8, just so long as it doesn't stay like that for ever.

    I wouldnt call myself a number 6 batsman tbh, but then again at this level neither are you I suppose. The biggest difference between 7/8 and 6/7 is the pressure IMO. There isnt a great deal of difference in pressure batting 7 or 8 IMO as if you are batting there it would (most of the time) mean you are not just being picked for your batting whereas a number 6 would more so be picked for their batting IMO. I would be inclined to bat you at 6 but as you say it would be a bit of an inconsistent call when I am currently batting a head of you and we have very similar stats, you have a slightly better average whereas I have a few more runs.

    Regardless of stats, it would be inconsistent on Luffers's part. He said I'd have to seriously outperform you to switch with you at 7. As it stans he thinks that you'll make the most out of having the greatest opportunity to make runs. If he still believes that then you bat 6.
    As far as I'm aware the sim doesn't have a "mental attribute" so pressure won't be an issue.
    If Luffers think you're the better batsman you bat 6, if not I do.
    Remember, I'm not picked for my batting. I'm picked to add depth.
