LIVE - Rib Runner Awards (starts post 92)

    I couldn't manage to get the self-updating site up properly for Season 9 but I still have the program, so I'll be able to announce the Rib Runner awards. They're based purely on complex statistical formulas - a contrast to the Herald awards which are based on journalistic opinions.

    Anyway, the following awards will be given out for both BS and ALC separately.

    Rib Runner XI:
    Rib Runner Batsman of the Season:
    Rib Runner Bowler of the Season:
    Rib Runner Allrounder of the Season:
    Rib Runner Wicket Keeper of the Season:
    Rib Runner MVP:

    The Bannerman Shield Rib Runner XI will actually play a one-off match against the CricSim Board XI (which will be a team of admins).

    What I'd like to know is how everyone thinks I should announce these. Should I wait until everyone is online, do nominations and then announce them one by one as an event, or just post 'em up?

    Wait till tonight I reckon.

    Flack for all rounder of the year too.

    So the Rib Runner XI is basically BS team of the year? Nothing to do with past form/stats?

    Post it up in around 2 or 3 hours time when there are more people on, IMO. Let some discussion flow about who's going to get them etc. and there'll be plenty of people online when you announce them.

    Gunski, So the ALC Rib Runner team will play a Board team too? Or perhaps the winner of the North v South Academy series?

    Nominations will give everybody an opportunity to discuss, set a time for the event so people can get online if they so wish.
