Awesome stuff. Obviously Ames, Cribb & Webber played well, but I think I'm most pleased with James's efforts. The three early wickets in the first innings really crippled the Rays batting, and then he picked up another early wicket in the second dig, a time when any contribution from a seamer is a bonus.
Yeah, James has been really awesome this season. A genuine surprise packet. He was probably fourth quick in line at the start of the Care Cup (admittedly though it was all really close) and now he's opening the bowling for us on a square turner when we're only playing two quicks and averaging 20 odd.
Think we put pressure on ourselves by not restricting them, although it's a decent batting lineup at the Ravens. Borisc failed at three, although the middle order salvaged something in the first innings it wasn't likely to be enough without a miracle. Need to sort ourselves out to ensure we're still in the title hunt.
real shame at the loss, and not a lot of positive coming out of it, although Ged and Weaver are both doing quite well with the ball, really need farny to start standing up.
It is strange. We could probably carry someone having a dip in form....but when a few players are below par....it's hard to put in a good team performance. We have a strong group of players and are a very active team....but nothing we can do about form and more importantly luck. Maybe a shake up will help us for the next round and hoping I can take out my frustrations on some F**** in the ALC.
