    It was exactly the same when Benitez was in charge. Maybe it's to do with the clubs internal transfer policy and/or scouting network. The manager might not have that much of a say?

    Problem is, Sturridge is just so gun when he's actually fit. I feel for the bloke and I wish he was around for the league and Liverpool's sake. I'd rather him up top than Benteke personally, fully fit of course. Thoughts?

    Liverpool need to play both Benteke and Sturridge up front when he's fit. Coutinho in behind then Milner and Henderson playing wide cms in a diamond imo

    Hard to believe they'd stick with Rodgers if Klopp is available. The Stoke game last season looked like a massive hint from the dressing room to the upper management.

    Would prefer both up front. Sturridge would work off Benteke and they'd be a good combo imo.

    It'll be interesting to see what we do when he's fully fit because of Rodgers is still the manager (I hope not) he's surely got to find a place for both Benteke and Firmino as well as our only two great players on Cou and Sturridge

    We could potentially have a front 6 with this in a diamond

    Firstly, sorry for the double post. But i was thinking. I'd like to see this line up with Ings instead of Sturridge (for now). I think they could work well together up front and with Cou behind them, Milner, Hendo and Can finishing up the diamond.

    Ings should start whilst Sturridge is closing in on full match fitness but once Sturridge is fully fit, he's the first name on the team sheet

    Lallana is a decent enough squad player and Ibe should start games if we are playing 4-3-3, like on Saturday because he's our only winger

    Rodgers doesn't have a clue anymore. We sign all these #10s and just shift them on the wing. If we are planning on playing 4-4-2 when Sturridge is fit, then we should be playing it now and get the other 10 players adjusting to that formation and style of play
