    Good list. Your first pick is one of my all time top 10. On some days, #1. The fact you only stole my pick twice (The Lives of Others, The Shining) was a pleasant surprise. The only film I don't like in there is The Empire Strikes Back. Haven't seen Red River, Billy Madison or Kung Fu Panda.

    Delighted with that list. A bit of a theme runs through it, but a couple of picks went a little off piste in that regard. Includes some of my all-time favourites (Aliens, Into the Wild, They Live, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner) and a number which fall just outside that bracket. The lower than 6 IMDB was a toughie - most of my favourite B movies (Quartermass and the Pit - 7.1, Trancers - 6.2, Night of the Comet - 6.4, Pontypool - 6.7, The Last Starfighter - 6.7, The Quiet Earth - 6.9, Enemy Mine - 6.9, Rollerball - 6.6, Alien Nation - 6.3, Westworld - 7.1) massively exceed that 6 level.

    I'm not expecting most people/anyone else to like my list, but I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily.

    Average Rotten Tomatoes rating: 82% (Not another teen movie 28%, Airplane 97%)

    I don't want to pick something for the sake of it, where do I find a fucking list of IMDB ratings under 6? I generally only ever watch a movie and say yeah it's a good one, or a shit one, even some of the better shit ones I've watched that I remember are rated in the 7s, I should be able to find one, but fuck me, scraping the bottom of the barrel is right.

    I tried to find a list of movies rated <6 but there wasn't any lists readily available, just search a director you like, go through his movies, if nothing, go to an actor you like so on and so forth.

    Definitely some interesting lists made up here, good to see the varying tastes around the place. Fuck i love movies.

    Average year: 1999 (Psycho the oldest from 1960, Winter Soldier was last year.)

    Average IMDB rating: 7.9 (Dr Dolittle has 5.3, next one is Cars with 7.2. Psycho the best rated at 8.6)

    Average Rotten Tomatoes rating: 89% (Dr Dolittle unsurprisingly at the bottom with 43%, La Haine with a perfect 100% right at the other end.)

    How do we determine the "winner"

    I was thinking possibly have people rate the lists from 1-10(however many people there are) to determine a seeding.

    So for example whoever receives the most votes in the voting stages receives a seeding, then we have 1v1 battles after that?
