Exactly. If Speirz was eligible for this side, it would be Alec or Wilkinson in for me and Speirs for Devonshire and we would retain the same balance of 3 fasties and 2 spinners.

There is a big ****ing difference between you and Speirz. You would most likely bowl 30+ overs and Speirz would bowl 15 max, don't even compare the 2.

With the fifth bowler bowling medium-fast, Ged should be in the team. I agree with the lineup Ged posted.
That's because it'd leave the team with no third seam option, as Speirs is the fifth bowler. In this team, Devonshire is the fifth bowler and not Speirs, meaning picking two specialist spinners is perfectly logical.
