Update – 82nd minute: The Cyclones now have the ball after the Hawks cleared it away. It is 1st tackle and the Cyclones are 25 metres out from their line. The ball comes to Read who looks absolutely exhausted, he gets taken down 33 out now. A scoot by Masters, he makes good metres, 40 out now. 3rd tackle, Dempsey goes for a run, CATCHES THE MARKERS OFFSIDE!! They don’t get involved but he has juts made 15 metres! Brilliant run! 4th tackle, 45 metres out from the Hawks line, they should get a shot here, it comes to Hayes who goes up for a settler, he gets to within 35. Last tackle, here we go! It comes back to Farhat, he strikes it! IT LOOKS GOOD! IT LOOKS VERY GOOD! OHHHHHH IT HITS THE POST! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! It has hit the post and the Hawks get the ball! Hold on….the referee has blown his whistle…PENALTY! IT’S A PENALTY! TO WHO THOUGH!?!? THE HAWKS! IT IS A PENALTY TO THE HAWKS! Read is rushing over to the referee to ask why while the crowd cheer, the referee has said that Fittler took one of the defenders out who were running towards Farhat to block the field goal. Looking at the replay, he is right! I can’t believe Fittler has done that, he has just cost his team a penalty and now the Hawks will be in prime field goal territory! This is just unbelievable.

Taylor kicks it down field, they are now 40 metres out! It is tapped by Wilson who gives it off to Tyson, he charges up field and makes it just before the 30. 1st tackle now, it comes to Gayler, he doesn’t know what to do, he just hits it up straight up the middle. 2nd tackle, Wilson, HE SCOOTS HIMSELF! The markers desperately get him down though. 25 out! Will they go early here!?!?! Yes they will! It comes to Taylor! The defense rush up on him! HE STEPS….HE GOES THROUGH! TAYLOR! HE GOES THROUGH, HE FLINGS THE BALL WIDE TO STACKER..HE GETS TO THE 10…STACKER FOR THE LINE…HE GETS GRABBED BY A DEFENDER! HE FLINGS THE BALL OVER THE TOP….IT IS UP IN THE AIR! WHO WILL GET THE BALL!?!?!?!? GEMMELL! GEMMELL GETS IT! GEMMELL STEPS!............................................................................................................................................................................ GEMMELL SCORES! THEY ARE OVER! THE HAWKS WILL WIN! THE HAWKS WILL WIN IN AN ABSOLUTE THRILLER! THE REFEREE BLOWS THE WHISLTE AND THAT IS THE GAME! THE HAWKS WIN 36-32 and the Cyclones are absolutely gutted. The Home fans have absolutely erupted and the players have all stacked on Gemmel, while the cyclones players are dejected. What an absolute thriller we have just seen ladies and gentlemen and we thank you for being apart of it! Wow, UNBELIEVABLE!

Overview: Just a brilliant game of Rugby League. What an amazing comeback by both teams. Props to the Clones who were very unlucky not to win that game. However, credit goes to the Hawks who never gave up. Well done specfically to Gayler who was all over the place and involved in everything tonight. As well as Webber who really set up the fight back with a couple of line breaks. Gemmell and Miokovic also with outstanding games.
