So I'm thinking about expansion and I'm not sure which way I should go so I'm asking you lot for a second opinion, poll will accompany. Option A - Expand to 8 teams, each team would have about 9 players each, injuries on Pros: no bye extended squads little risk of introducing dud teams secondary positions would be almost definite Cons: injuries players sitting on the bench most of the game Option B - Expand to 10 teams, potential division/conference play, no injuries as squads would be max 8 per team. Pros: no bye would mean every player gets decent playing time secondary positions would be definite in addition to All-Star Weekend (which would become a divisional/conference match) we'd have a second rep game or series at the end of the season (North vs. South) Cons: season could be held up so teams can recruit potential shit teams without active owners Option C - Stay with 7 teams, potentially introduce a reserve grade, injuries on Pros: little risk of teams holding up the season (a la Phantoms) Cons: bye remains injuries no secondary positions None of these are definite, but I'd love to know what the BBallSim general community thinks. Cheers guys.
Which ever one places me in a position of power at a club :ninja: At the moment I would say option A or B, mainly for the elimination of the bye round. I'm not sure what our membership base is like? Do we have enough people for an active 10 team expansion? The idea of more playing time for option B is enticing though...
A or B. Don't know about anyone else but I really don't like the Bye. Also an even number of teams would be good.
I love my Boys. Would hate to lose any of them. But would probably go with Option A. I think there is a ton of potential in the BBall Sim and so i think would hold it back a little. But on the other hand its very easy to not post lots here. So player improvement will be annoying.
I think that, as long as the actives get reasonable game time, it wouldn't matter if you had 1 or 10 inactives on the bench.
