Season 5 Power Rankings

My own personal take on the season and who has a shot at the championship. Bare in mind I have no extra knowledge about how teams will play over the season than you, only how good certain players are in the sim, which is why I've declined to produce any sort of player rankings that aren't based off of stats. These team rankings are 100% subjective.

    1. Colts
The defending champions. The Colts have showed no signs of slowing down, retaining their entire S4 Championship squad. The dual between the egos of the two members making best backcourt in all of basketball might be the only thing stopping this team going back-to-back.

    2. Tigers
Last season's runners-up and clear Conference A leaders. Much has been made of the Tigers lack of a "superstar" but G Siege Morgan looks set to make the step up after a monster representative campaign and the squad still boasts names such as former Rookie of the Season F Brett Hall and up and comers G Truman Lee and F LeBron Ames.

    3. Pandas
The team most expect to be the Colts biggest rivals haven't necessarily improved, in my humble opinion. They just lost a guy whom many are speculating whether he can set an all-time season scoring record for a dude most had written off at the end of last season as "finished". A big market will hype you up though.

    4. Moustaches
Another big market, another case of hysteria going to head. The Moustaches mightn't look the same on paper, but lets look at who the lost. The aforementioned "finished" G Andrew James and roleplaying C Ben Jacobs. Who have they retained? Two MVPs and debatably the best player in the league? I'm not buying the sob story.

    5. Hammerheads
Any team with C Ishan Narang will be a force to be reckoned with, and add to that G Chad Dyer and you've got yourself a pick and roll combination for the ages. This is Stockton-Malone 2.0 and surrounding them are some mighty fine roleplayers. They're probably another star or genuine 20 point scorer away from contending, but their form toward the end of the season proved they're legit.

    6. Ocelots
While they struggled last season, this team still boasts F Charlie Downes and C Ryan Gayler, both All-CricSim 1st Team players. We saw in representative basketball that these two are almost unstoppable with a bona fide great point guard and G Ben Manera and G BB Burger both showed plenty of potential in the pre-season. It's not much to go on, but it's hard to bet against Charlie Downes and the powers at his fingertips.

    7. Parrots
Ranking them above the Mustangs was tough at first, but looking at it this is a team that really should be better than 7th. A scorer who can unleash 40 on any given night in G Cap'n Cock, an imposing front court and a point guard who's really crafted his trade. All the pieces to success. They're offensive help for Cock away from a playoff run.

    8. Mustangs
A fledgling franchise finding its feet early. The Mustangs are versatile and work under a creative and genius head coach who will find way to win. This team definitely lacks the firepower of other teams though and I think that Welker and Vince will be better off if they can sign a major scoring option (like a Diggler :ninja:) this off-season.

    9. Sabres
The second of our expansion franchises. Many have the Sabres coming last in their predictions, but the talent on this roster will win them enough games to save that fate to another team in my humble opinion. G Marquis Deen is perhaps the league's finest developing talent and G Clayton Evans isn't too far behind. Add to the equation Rookie of the Season C Teddy Tiger and this team has a bright future, just not now.

    10. Seahawks
Unfortunately for the S2 Finalists, tough times have hit. In the past couple of seasons they've lost 2 of the league's best scorers and 2 of the league's best big men. They'll have to rely on an inefficient point guard in Callum Laing and a promising but inconsistent power forward, James Hughes. I don't think this team can, night in night out, be competitive enough to keep themselves from earning the league's worst record.

  4. Mousey AJ Son

Forgive any poor wording or typos. It's almost 3am :p

  5. Teacups CJ Evans

    Fandabydozy. Excellent effort Mousey.

  6. Skippos SM Morgan

Good stuff Mousey. Glad to be second.

  7. Eddie EI Morris

    Good work Mousey

  8. Mousey AJ Son

Criticise them if you want guys :p

  9. MrPrez CM Dyer

I really don't have much to criticise for our team, pretty much spot on. The only thing I'd say is that I don't think I'm near the level of Cevno :p

  10. brettman135 BR Hall

Love it Mousey. Hopefully we can back up from our good last season.

  11. Teacups CJ Evans

He didn't say you were tbf. :p

  12. MrPrez CM Dyer

Yeah but the whole twosome thing seems a bit ott imo. Wouldn't say I'm at that level yet - quite possibly the second best player in the team but closer to the rest of the team than to Cevno.

  13. the_killerz S Bakkum

    2nd :D.

Think that's pretty spot on. Hope the Tigers all can dominate!

  14. Howe JHF Howe

We're better than the Ocelots. Their 2 big stars are great, sure, but at the end of the day the average Parrots player is better than the average Ocelots player.

  15. Teacups CJ Evans

It's a pretty damn good duo. Just like the Stockton-Malone one was for the Jazz. Cevno one was the best bigs and you becoming a good point guard. It's more a testament to the combination of the two of you rather any individual comparison. He's not saying you match Cevno, nor is he saying you're as good as Stockton. He's saying it's a formidable duo.

  16. Baxter MJ Deane

Big wraps from M0useh. Hoping to live up to it.

  17. MrPrez CM Dyer

Yeah I get it, just don't see myself being as good as often touted :p Realise I've got heaps of potential but reckon I'm still really quite inconsistent.

  18. MASTERS S Masters

would be a fail season if we did not win the title again

  19. brettman135 BR Hall

    The arrogance.

  20. MASTERS S Masters

well we have pretty much kept the same team, so we should look to repeat
