AWTA. It's not just the side, but depth. Gonzo, Cribb, Boland and myself are all vying for opening positions.

  2. Ged GEC King

What would the teams look like anyway?
    For city, I'm thinking:
    1. Gonzalez
    2. Boland
    3. Lewis
    4. Hayes
    5. Parker
    6. Flack
    7. Cribb
    8. Johns
    9. Tyson
    10. Hunt
    11. Crowley

hmmm. What bowlers would tehy have?
I'd presume Green, Wilson, Bullpitt, Wilkinson are all country. Ditto Taylor, Emm.
Resorted to Hunt and Cribb for the spin with the pace from Tyson, Crowley, Johns, Flack and Gonzo. Armstrong probably with a claim to be there too.

Still a pretty strong line up.

    Country:
    1. Speirs
    2. Thornton
    3. Dempsey
    4. Delonge
    5. Roberts/Herd/Berkuta/Fung/O'Driscoll
    6. Roberts/Herd/Berkuta/Fung/O'Driscoll
    7. Roberts/Herd/Berkuta/Fung/O'Driscoll
    8. Wilson
    9. Bullpitt
    10. Wilkinson
    11. Green

Yep. Let's break em up. :p

  3. Storer BA Storer

    Storer doesn't make either...

  4. morgieb MC Burridge

Johns & Boland are country IIRC. What would Wilkinson and Wilson count as? Given they both live in Queensland...

We're not going to split up in 5-day cricket. Ever. :p

I can see merit in splitting us up for the Rossleigh Trophy (one day comp), but I think it's more a case of us having immense depth than being ridiculously strong, TBH. There's no advantage in having more than eleven gun players. Our OD Second XI would demolish that of other provinces but I'm not convinced our First XI will do the same.

  6. Ged GEC King

Nah. Split up for both imo. Still come together for origin mid-season but provincial championship you should. Origin should be like the british lions tours.

  7. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

    Herd to make it imo.

  8. morgieb MC Burridge

You're Victorian IIRC. And you wouldn't make the NSW side even if you a NSWman. :p

  9. Fungus K Fung

LOL. If that's true, we will have 4 country keepers. Who would be the city one?

  10. morgieb MC Burridge

DWTA. All the best players in the HC are NSWman IMO.

  11. Cribbage RG Cribb

Well I'd say Con (he was actually NSW's 12th man once) but he lives in Canberra IIRC which would be country too.

    Where does Jimmy live?

  12. Fungus K Fung

This is based on where we were born and not where we currently live right?

  13. AVA T Delonge

    Port Macquarie IIRC.

  14. Ged GEC King

    Country.

  15. Cribbage RG Cribb

Would just be based on whichever you had more loyalty towards tbh.

  16. Hunter AD Hunt

    Loving Ged's idea :p

  17. Fungus K Fung

City has absolutely no keepers then? Am I'm the only one out of them who actually lives in the city?

Grew up mostly in Newcastle (moving back and forth between there and the city), so I'll probably stay country - would be quite interesting to see 5-6 keepers fighting for the country spot and none for the city.

Yeah, city have no keepers. Donald comes from Picton IIRC.

  19. Storer BA Storer

   .

  20. Hunter AD Hunt

Putting boland in city and delonge in country makes no sense. They go to the same school.
