    Darts is an important performance?

  2. Bender BG Herd

    You win this round Theodore.

By important I mean if they perform well they can push for a BS spot. It's Me Vs Torres for the batting spot hence being important performances as well.

Edit: In Darts case Storer is still ahead, but he has dropped in activity so things could change.

I could probably push for that AR spot tbh

The teams are in, now all we need are some games!

I don't think you realise how low Dart's activity generally is, or his record :p

  7. AVA T Delonge

He's been more active of late, and his performances are improving. Good signs! :p

  8. Rego RS Hutchinson

I should be batting at 10

    Batting (226th, N/A)
    FC: Yet to bat
    SC: 14 Runs @ 4.67
    OD1: Yet to bat
    OD2: Yet to bat

What chance do you think you are of forcing out Davis, Armstrong or Manera? You have 1 chance of playing BS, and that's at 5. Why would you want to open in the ALC? If you open in the ALC you have no chance of playing firsts, TBH. Lot's of people bat well out of position, just look at Manera.

Haha. With Ritchie and Rego at 10 & 11, I could be batting at 9 for the Crusaders. It would be like the England batting line up with Mullally, Giddens & Tufnell. As it is, with Giddens & a non-batting Salisbury is pretty poor.

I know I don't have one. (Unless I do an epic shit - like an Eds or something and Davis or Armstrong does a Burridge). Tbh, I'm a realist, and I'm about 90% sure my performances in ALC @ 5 won't justify a call up, even over someone underperforming, and that all hinges on Benny or Lukic failing, which I doubt. I'd almost prefer the extra year of experience, just to consolidate my player, instead of potentially ruining it.

Batting at 5 won't ruin you. Batting out of position is being severely over-rated at the moment. It really doesn't make that much of a difference. It's been better for Manera not opening.

I reckon it is a pretty close game. Our lower order batting killed our teams in off season, but O'Driscoll at 7 and Hallett at 8 should strengthen that a touch for us. I'm interested to see how our 3 spinners/3 seamers works for us. We sort of need it to because we don't have a second bowling all rounder. We can get over just about every person that didn't sign for us bar Tyson if our balance doesn't work.

Look, afaic you're going to bat at 4 in ALC. You bat higher, face more balls and will be the lynchpin in the lineup. THEN if you get a spot at firsts you can cover bad form from someone like Popovic or Read OR one of the top 4 being injured. Trust me, it is the best way to do it at this point.

But Manera bats at 3, which is still top order - it doesn't have any effect.

  18. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Manera is an opener by registration.

  19. Mousey AJ Son

Openers bat at 3 just as well as 1 or 2 IIRC.

  20. Julian BJ Taylor

The point is that virtually all our reserves are registered as openers.
