I suppose the fact that Victoria's attack consisted of an ALC quick, an ALC spinner, two ALC allrounders and a BS allrounder who averages almost 39 in First Class cricket with the pill takes the gloss off that a lot though. I wouldn't fret about the bowling as your best three bowlers weren't playing.
nah dont think Nino is dumb enough to go in with 4 pure bowlers especially considering how fragile our batting lineup is. Denton,Weaver,?????,Bots,Dorn. Is what I think he'll use ????? is such a gun 1st change.
Izett should definitely be ahead of Yates and Davis at this point IMO. The latter two probably have bigger futures but Izett just had an awesome BS season and is the incumbent anyway.
yeah that's why I don't understand why he trialled him off the back of an awesome BS campaign by him you could have argued I needed the Trial more but overall I think Nino got the trial side right and was unfortunate the other 2 quicks didn't stand up. How many is Nino naming in the squad 15 IIRC? So Yates and Davis will both be in the squad anyway if the trial is anything to go by.

Yeah cause scobs CANNOT bat down the order worst then he's at opener and I'm sure Nino would rather Dorn open than Scoble.
It's a tough one between darts and Astele. Do you go for a more stable bat and a pie bowler or someone who can hold a bat but can't be relyed on but is an awesome ALC bowler.
I'd probably go with Astele. I think your bowling's more stable than your batting at the moment, and unlike Darts he's shown something in First Class cricket before.
Yeah that's who I was leaning towards just means if we cop an injury to Gazza, dorn might get dropped cause I don't think Astele is anywhere near good enough to be 1st change. So you'd see something like Denton,Yates/Davis,Izett,Bots,Astele. Only real concern.
Ouch. Happy that I scored my first 100 for New Zealand however. 400 in the first innings wasn't bad, but considering they made 600+ I guess that doesn't mean too much.
