    Three Inductees are to be made to the Hall of Fame. One for each season of the Seasonal Rugby Championship. These awards go to the guys who have contributed the most to the SRC, but have also performed superbly on the field.

    I’m obviously really humbled because to receive an award ah, for something that I love doing and have always loved doing and continued to love doing. Ah, I’m very humbled. To receive it from Heef, who was there when I obviously first started, I am truly honored, I’m truly honored. So I think you, ah, obviously rugby is a team game. Rugby is a team game and without the teams and the players’ support that I’ve had over the years, such players as Eddie and obviously the other great players that I got to play with over the years – I wouldn’t be here today. I wouldn’t be here without the support and skill of those players. Been lucky enough to play with some of the great teams over the years, Blue Bolts, Cheetahs, Sharks and of course playing for GB has always been one of the highlights and one of the biggest things of my career.

    I’ve been able as well to play with some of the, lucky enough to be able to play with some of the best coaches and been brought up by the best coaches ah, throughout my career, you know, people, like this, and obviously, you know, for me the best player in rugby who I regard as still as a father figure after so many years of knowing him Sir James McDougal. And I’ve been lucky to have played under those people.
