    You could blame him for not calling held up but it's very hard to blame Cecchin for the put down of Evans try. At the end of the day there was no camera angle that conclusively showed if any part of the ball didn't touch the line. Cecchin was right there so he obviously saw the ball hit the line at some point. It just raises the fact that if he was guessing, the fact that the video ref has to disprove a complete guess is absurd.

    If if he was right there, and saw the ball hit the line he should just call it a try, rather than going to the video ref.

    You will know this better then me but in the nrl, are the refs allowed to over rule the video ref if they see something that they don't think is right? I'm guessing not.
