Assuming they had no knowledge of the supplements they took were illegal. Obviously if they did and still took them, then yeah they should be banned.
But we will be fine. We won't have our points taken off us. If it was going to happen, it would have already.
Ban the cunts. How do you not know you're taking something illegal? It wouldn't take much research to see what you're putting in your body.
I heard the drug was put on the banned list in 2012. It's not like Cronulla when they were on it when it was legal.
They should be banned, but likely won't. But if they aren't, these whole last two years at least they've been playing with an advantage. So they should be retrospectively stripped of last years points and given the spoon, and stripped of all this years points before the season is over.
The investigation hasn't finished yet. drugs* They were taking many different drugs. Some banned, some not banned yet. ASADA can retrospectively ban and punish athletes. So if you cheated, they'll get you.

The day that The AFL and ASADA gut Essendon from the inside out will be one of the best days of my life.
Doesn't matter if they knew or not, they are or were benefiting from the effects of the performance enhancing drugs, so they can't be allowed to participate.
I think it's almost beyond what the drugs actually were now. The systematic nature of the 'supplement' program within Essendon is enough to warrant ban for me. The players were injecting themselves, allegedly outside of club supervision. And don't get me started on Hirdy. The thought behind a 'zero-tolerance' policy on drugs, as we have in this country - is so that players can't claim ignorance. If they're allowed to claim ignorance, no-one would ever get prosecuted. The clubs would back the players, and the governing bodies would back the clubs.
