He was injected with a banned substance alledgedly, which is irrelevant in regards to wada, but is a poor example of behaviour from a coach who's players are under investigation. The players were given some kind of pig brain extract and some kind of anti obesity drug (which may be the same thing) which is not banned, but its borderline. I personally think its dodgy as fuck, even if it is legal.
Heard one of the worst explanations from an Essendon supporter. Claimed that they couldn't docked points or have players suspended for the 2013 or future seasons because they broke the rules in 2012. :facepalm:

I like Hird, but I get the feeling he'll be the sacrificial lamb. Was hoping Bomber Thompson would jump on the grenade.
It'll take a bit for the club to scapegoat either of those boys. They are club greats and very loved by the supporters.
1. Never tested postive 2. Illicit drugs are completely different from performance enhancing drugs (which is why you get 3 strikes, instead of an automatic ban) 3. Not on the list anymore.
Used substances not yet recommeneded for human use, WADA can't outlaw something that isn't available yet.
