Haha, precisely. He had one absolutely ****ing brilliant game for Penrith too, along with one good game immediately after that and about 15 meh games.

The thing is though, NSW still don't have that many other players who're better than him anyway. I haven't gotten to see how Mullen handles himself at halfback but he seems like a great alternative.

  5. GYR DW Lewis

    Mullen has played for NSW.

  6. Tonio AX Kirikiri

Hahaha. I remember that picture so well

What's wrong with Campese at halfback? He basically plays a halfback role at Canberra anyway, doing most of the organising and creating.

If you have Campese at halfback, then you could put someone like Mullen at five-eighth. I'd feel much more comfortable with that halves combination then one with Wallace in it (nothing against him, but he's only decent compared to Mullen and Campese).

    No ****ing way.

The only reason Campese plays halfback is because Herbert and McCrone make Jeremy Smith look like Alan Langer,

I know, but Mullen's already tried at halfback for NSW and tbh I wasn't impressed. Don't see what the problem is with putting Campese there because he effectively plays like a halfback anyway.

  10. Lukic L Popovic

Ok, so then who's going to be 5/8?

Srsly, why waste our best half out of position.

    He's a 5/8, through and through.

  11. Old Mate M Perry

    I know he has?

I just meant he is a different option, they don't have to go with Wallace if they didn't want to.

  12. Hybrid A Kolar

    Have Mullen at 5/8 ffs.

  13. Julian BJ Taylor

Nah. Wallace and Campo for mine.

  14. Old Mate M Perry

I can see Campese's future at lock anyway, a really, really awesome lock so I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually saw all three of them play together in the future.

  15. Lukic L Popovic

    Campese > Mullen @ 5/8

    Mullen > Campese @ 1/2.

Probs would go Wallace, Campese or Maybe, Mullen Campese.

  16. Julian BJ Taylor

Yeah but that's not going to happen this year with the abundance of backrowers available.

I think Campese would ultimately be wasted at lock as well.

  17. Tonio AX Kirikiri

    Wallace and Campese for sure.

Campese is so awesome and Wallace can let Campese just play his game which he seems to do with Locky a lot.

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

I want both Ennis and Farah, but if they decide on only one, Mullen on the bench would work IMO. He would come on to 5/8th and Campo would switch to lock.

Slightly leaning to this, that being said I think we will see the best of Wallace in the City/Country and Origin if he is selected - if not then I would most definitely consider someone else for next season rather than persist with him.

I hope he can nail it though despite being a QLD supporter.

He plays a lot of first receiver, but he's actually quite a poor organiser. He tries to do it, but he's just no good at it. Excellent player; not a halfback's arse though.
