  2. Magic AJ Parker

Myles chucked a shit in a fire escape because he was locked out of his room and maggot. Stupid but reckon majority of people in the same situation would've done the same. Can't really say the same about the Monas situation...

Rooster Jake Friend caught with nursing home patient's Valium pills

    The Sunday Telegraph

ROOSTERS hooker Jake Friend was carrying Valium tablets prescribed to an infirm 89-year-old female nursing home patient when he was arrested late at night outside McDonald's in Coogee after a game in June.

The Sunday Telegraph uncovered the woman's identity after Friend pleaded guilty to charges in Waverley Local Court on Melbourne Cup Day.

The woman, Francesca Lucantonio, 89, is in a high-care nursing facility in Sydney, receiving treatment for several degenerative illnesses. Her family told The Sunday Telegraph she had no association with Friend or the Sydney Roosters.

They said their mother was "mentally and physically incapable" of looking after herself. Friend's admission in court has thrown the spotlight back on to the Roosters, with management now facing questions from the Lucantonio family.

They are demanding answers as to how the first-grade footballer obtained Valium tablets with a prescription in their mother's name."We, the family, are as puzzled as you are as to how these pills got into this guy's hands," Francesca Lucantonio's son John told The Sunday Telegraph.

The family was deeply concerned their mother's details were used to falsely obtain medication.

NRL CEO David Gallop said the Roosters owed an explanation to the family.

"There is only so far we can go in pursuing what have been police issues but certainly it would be good for the club or the player to address the family's concerns," Mr Gallop said.

Mr Gallop said at the time of his arrest Friend had a valid prescription for Valium in his own name. No officials have explained why Friend was carrying Valium tablets prescribed to a woman he had never met.

Friend was searched by officers about 11.40pm on June 5, during a patrol of the Coogee Basin by Eastern Beaches police. The court heard he was spotted passing an "object" to fellow Roosters player Todd Carney, who was seen to "take something from the accused and place it in his mouth". Carney was later freed without charge.

Friend and Carney told police they believed some of the tablets they had were ***** painkillers given to them legitimately by Roosters doctor John Orchard.

Forensic analysis eventually proved the pills were Valium, not *****. Dr Orchard told The Sunday Telegraph: "I'd prefer not to comment on it - I haven't read the court documents."

Roosters CEO Steve Noyce issued a statement after the arrest, saying an "innocent explanation" would prevail and "become clear to all parties".

On Friday, Noyce backed away from his statement, refusing to outline the circumstances of Friend's arrest. He said: "The matter's been finalised by the court, so the matter's closed."

Friend's lawyer, Stephen Alexander, said: "Mr Friend accepted his responsibility for the offences and acknowledged his wrongdoing by pleading guilty."

The thread's asking about Myles and Monnas, not Lui and Friend. I don't care how many people were in the room, to think that what Myles did is worse to what Canberra animal-raider Joel did is retarded.
