You've got a history of near misses, it must be said. If one team is to stop you, it's the Stingrays. In both encounters we've gotten close but just not quite close enough. Still, I think that we've got enough big match players to match you. Where you seem to have us covered is the middle order.
We're cutting it to thin each match for my liking. If we continue to fall behind in the first innings someone is going to eventually punish us.
Well, you should still easily wrap up the minor premiership. You'd have to lose twice and we'd have to win every game from now on. I don't see that happening. So really it will come down to one match. I'm actually concerned by the Stickies. They have a couple of blokes that can just come out and dominate sides. Particularly in a one off game, I'm pretty concerned by a bloke like Miokovic who seems to go big when he gets a start and they've really got a quality batting line up right down to 8. If they were to bat first they could easily post 500 and then you'd think Whicker could do some damage on his own.
Yeah, they're no easy beats. I really just hope that I kick into gear. I've been below par this season and we've still been going extremely well. Not saying that I'm the be all and end all of the team, but if I start to play like I should be, we'd be close to unbeatable.
I honestly think that we can match you at our best if we cna just sort out a few key positions. Namely getting Fung to actually hit some runs. There's also one opening slot left by Colesy that we are struggling to fill. Our bowling can pull us through though. I don't ever see you scoring 450+ against our bowling and if you are not firing, I see our bowling as being superiour to yours. We've still got to make it though.
Yeah, I don't know why I've been in really dire form this season. I was pretty good last season, but dropped off bad this season. Maybe the move will help.
You actually lost to the Pumas last time you played them too. At home as well. So they wouldn't be pushovers if you had to play them in a semi either.
Especially on a neutral pitch like NRLM oval, where you can't rely on your spinners to clean up in the second innings (although it seems that Johns and Green do that job well enough atm).
Unlike you guys, we've actually knocked them off this season. Pretty much in the way you describe here as well.
9 out of 11 = most, lol. I could go into how many we have to step up yet, but this is a shit argument.
