Interestingly enough though Diggler and I were trying really hard to find a fair way to bring in salaries, etc. for this season but had to throw it out. Would be awesome to have contracts meaning a heap for FA.
How cool would it be if vCash was incorporated and members could purchase teams. If the team wins the championship then the owner gets some vCash etc. Have to pay vCash to enter the competition to make up the prize pool...
I we can resolve this: Because people will sign for nothing. The money has to mean something without making the best even better.
You just have to have a restricted market. Have strict salary caps and high caps for players of a certain caliber.
Well, indeed. I'm not going to sign for any other club so I think you'd have to set a minimum price for each player based on a statistical analysis of past performances. Players in demand can be signed for more than that if they so wish. Seasonal Rugby had salaries for one season back in S2, I think, and it kinda worked, but had no real purpose. It's a tough one.
For every 500k below their valuation they sign for they decrease in skills by a 1% or equivilent. Then give bonuses like for every 500k above what they are worth they increase in skill .333% Or you could use a nonlinear function which would make things very very interesting
Why don't Mousey/Diggler value each player and they can't go for under that amount or something? Don't make the players choose their value. It's not like choose their value for football etc.
Assign everyone a 'market value' such that the market values add up to the total salary cap of all the teams for every bit someone signs for below their value, they decline as a player. for every bit above, they improve.
If you want to implement salaries the players have to get benefits from chasing a higher salary over going for the lower one to help the team out. The only 2 benefits are Vcash or making their player better.
The only way I'd do it right now, unless I found a better way of doing it, would be to set the values myself but only if a tam was too OP (possibility if the Colts dominate this season)
