Yeah, ALC eligibility rules only apply whenever you don't have a team in first grade for that round. If they weren't playing first grade they'd just have Masters playing here instead and he's arguably better than Toolio at ALC level anyway.
Yeah, contrary to what people generally think, there aren't separate rules for finals - it's a one size fits all rule for any reserve grade game that doesn't have a corresponding first grade fixture.
So, if for some random reason the Saders have a bye for round 4 and I've played 2 firsts games and a seconds I wouldn't be eligible for the secodns match?
The reason you didn't make the semi-final is down purely and simply to the fact that Flack dropped himself from first grade and knocked up a double ton against you in the last round. I think he took like 7 wickets as well opening the bowling.
GOT HIM!!! GONE HIM TOO!!! GONE! GONE! GONE!! GEORGE AND DEANE AND CHAPS BACKWARDS ARE GONE!! BIG WICKETS!!
Indeed. The only exception is a Round 1 bye, in which case you can't play any players who will be playing first grade in Round 2.
