Wow they’ve actually picked Crichton on the bench. Pretty undeserved imo.

 

Chammas is saying it’s:

Tedesco, Trbojevic, Mitchell, Roberts, Addo-Carr, Maloney, Cleary, RCG, Cook, Vaughan, Cordner, Frizelli, J.Trbojevic.

Peachey, Klemmer, De Belin, Crighton

 

Lots of players who've been picked too early go through troubles. But some just handle it. Fittler, Alfie, Smith etc. He's the best option imo.

Now that he's been picked they need to give him the entire series, no matter what happens. And probably next year as well assuming his form holds.

I'd even say that about Cook. McInnes is overrated as fuck anyway.

 

Mullen isn't the example of too early. He's the example of dumb NSWRL selectors dumping a bloke after 1 match. Total short-sightedness. He was 20, as is Cleary now. Pearce is the example of too early. Cleary's first 40 games, aside from talent, show a level of maturity and footballing knowledge that Pearce simply did not possess when picked at 18.

 

Word now is Arrow is on the bench with Papa and Hess, and no Glasby. That's excellent despite him not really being suited to an impact role.

 

Both sides are weaker than last year. Honestly, I would not give this NSW side much of a chance at all against the QLD side from last year.

 

De Belin named to start over Trbojevic.

 

Do not understand Crichton over either Graham or Sims. Crichton’s first 2 months were kind of shitty. Don’t see him providing the same sort of impact that the other two can bring. Graham’s injury should not stop him from being there afaic.

 

Happy with the side. QLD need to play lateral with plenty of ball movement and offloads. Hunt playing short to Kaufusi and Hess ensuring Maloney has to make 25 tackles.

Hopefully Inglis gets involved a lot with early ball and massacres Roberts and Cleary.

Roberts and Maloney have to be our main avenues on the attack.
