Des would be a great fit tbh.

I'm fine with Walters resigning, as long as there is a clause in bold stating we can sack him at any time for any reason, with absolutely zero financial penalty to the club.

Only way Walters should keep his job is if Broncos finish top 4, AND don't go out of the finals in straight sets.

The Panthers just haven't adequately addressed the departure of Korisau.

Mitch Kenny playing 65mins last night is a concern.

I didn't watch but that's not surprising. I'm not a believer at all in Mitch Kenny.

Jeez... sure, its just a trial, but Tits have put 5 tries on The in 24mins...

Trial and first time they’re playing together, I think you’ve got to give it the double asterisk and not read too much into it.

Hopefully anyway because going to be a real downer if they’re just easy beats all year.

Getting Penrith round 1 is a blessing for Brisbane. If they are rusty and still not knowing how to use their 9's, we should only lose by 20.

    Ladder prediction:

    1. Sydney Roosters
    2. Penrith
    3. South Sydney
    4. Melbourne
    5. Cronulla
    6. Manly
    7. North Queensland
    8. Canterbury

    9. Canberra
    10. Parramatta
    11. Brisbane
    12. Gold Coast
    13. Wests Tigers
    14. The
    15. Warriors
    16. Newcastle
    17. St George Illawarra

Tough shouts. Took a few left-field calls that I might explain - I think Manly could surprise with a fully fit Turbo, whereas I like what Canterbury are building and think they could get somewhere. Parra I worry about their losses, the hooker situation looks really bad and there's already a couple of injuries that might burn.

I expect this to be totally wrong.

    1. Broncos.
    The rest

Seriously though, haven't seen the Broncos defend like that for a long, long time. Last thing I expected was a win, was really just interested in seeing where they were at.

Cobbo did his best to ruin it a number of times, God I hope Walsh is good to go next week.

Really missed Api and Kikkau. Were getting slick once Luke came on, but they had been bashed around a bit by then. Kick chase also wasn't as aggressive as what we've seen in recent times. Panthers came very close to scoring a few more, were held out by good, desperate defence. Would probably win the same match at least 2 out of every 3 times I reckon though.

Pretty much this. I initially thought the Dogs would be in the logjam come September, however they are starting the season with no Props right. They'll struggle to get wins in the early rounds which will hurt them at the back end.

Really sceptical of Parra this season without Mahoney, especially if they also let Nathan Brown go early. Reckon Melbourne and NQ are clearly better.

Yeah I feel Parra more likely to miss the 8 than go top 4 (even though I had them 5th :/).

Got a feeling the Tigers are in for a real big win this afternoon and '05 talk will go in to over drive.

Mark Nichols scores. Roosters for the spoon.
