There's only been 9 set restarts over the 3 finals, which makes me think it could be a directive of sorts.
However, I think they let Panthers get away with too much v Wahs

I hate that MF getting so mouthy about Roosters being shit is leaving a part of me hoping they continue this charge.

Also hate even more that riff are going to being taking on storm or Roosters in a prelim, while bundling either out is the dream, potentially losing to them is just yuck

I can not believe the Sharks couldn't get it done v the Roosters at home. Hynes lucky that Suuali try was deemed a knock on by Manu, was pretty embarrassing

Sharks had all the momentum , especially in the first half. Talakai is just hopeless in defence. Both positionally and in contact. Such a huge target for any team to exploit.

After the McInnes no-try and the Dragons one several rounds back; should the bunker be given the freedom to award tries where the ball will certainly be grounded, yet ball on grass can't be picked up on camera?

Surely Manu can't play next week.

Roosters are shit, they have less direction than a park footy team. They were just throwing it to the next person. For a finals game that was a very low quality disgusting game to watch.

Yep Christian Welch said this on Twitter, the rates of tries scored on the line is actually lower apparently, partly because the fullback is defending in the line.

Short drop outs seem like a no-brainer to me. Even if you kick it 50 they end the set attacking your line anyway, going short you have a chance to get it back. Execution could probably be better though yeah, but it might evolve over time if it remains common, people will start to specialise it at.

I assume he was rushed back to play this game. Our backline is going to be a joke with Manu, Tupou and Chief out. What are we looking at? Teddy, Pauga, Smith, Clutchinson, Allan? Absolutely dire.

    Is Momirovski fit?

The only restart we have received in the last 2 weeks was a inside 10 restart on our 30m line which should've been a penalty...

Feels like there's been a a concious effort to reduce overall number of penalties and I would guess that refs feel like a penalty rather than a set restart is going to have more impact on a teams behaviour than a set restart which I think most teams have become quite comfortable defending these days.

Next week will be the best week of finals IMO then the following week will be an absolute blood bath. I don't see either of Penrith or Brisbane being close to losing. Hopefully means we get a good grand final.

Their attack was putrid in the first half, a long way of where they've been for the last month but their defence is just so good. Outside of Penrith I don't think there's another side in the comp who could repel that many play the balls in good ball. Will be interesting to see how they go next week given the right edge has been completely torn apart, I'm guessing Munster might have a bit of a field day against a Corey Allan/Jaxson Paulo combo.

Not sure but I remembered Paulo exists so he'll probably be on the wing with Allan/Smith centres.

Despite their relatively poor record this year, Roosters have had the best red-zone defence in the comp this season. Considering the injury/suspension issues the Chooks have right now, only letting 2 tries in against one of the better attacking teams is quite impressive. Though there is the element of how bashed the Storm were in the first half, if they attack like they did against Brisbane, Roosters will win

Smith out with a broken jaw lol, this is ridiculous

  16. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Lol! If Klein is the top ref, we have some problems...

Tyrell Sloan shittest 1 on 1 tackler in the NRL.

Just genuinely doesn't try, there was nothing in that 2nd try for PNG was just a nothing hitup play.

Warriors ruck defence has been horrendous but as the attacker playing the ball you can't just take out a defender in the way that Carrigan just pulled Tohu Harris out of the play there. You see obstruction penalties that don't have half the impact on the play as that pulled up every week but just seems to have become common practice across the league.

Warriors lucky to only concede 4 tries in that first half, defence was all over the place.

Not sure how Staggs didn't end up in the sin bin. I'm still confused about that given everything we've seen over the last 3 seasons of sin bin usage, just seemed straight forward. Warriors had a few tough calls but didn't take enough advantage when Haas and Flegler went off.
