I am not that bothered about moving down the rankings. As once the season starts, with the new changes, I will hopefully have a much better season and move up the ranking anyway.
Really looking forward to it now . Is there any idea when the Lions Sub Section will be killed and we will get the Sub Sections for the teams we have signed for?
After I get my computer back, or get bored and install XP on my laptop, I'll be able to post the rest of the Offseason Club Cricket season results and then I'll move everyone into their new subbies. Lions players will retain access to the Lions subforum as well as their new one though.
It's the same with every ex-team. Maybe someday they'll want to re-form the side (but then prolly not because they are Lions), or they can still discuss random stuff with the old members (but then who would want to at the Lions).
Because Allstars players did and Vipers players did before they brought back in. Don't see the reason in closing them down, particularly as I think they still harbour hopes of a return so they could discuss plans in there.
The Redbacks was a confusing case because of the Crusaders. It was literally the same team minus Midnight - the Crusaders administration actually ran the Redbacks at the very end of the Redbacks' tether. The Redbacks forum was just renamed. There's also the fact that this happened pre-Merk. If I had to recreate the forum there's no way I'd bother recreating the Allstars or Lions subforums. It's easy to leave them there though.
Interesting. The idea of allowing recent activity to influence OD form is quite interesting as well, hopefully this might allow me to cement a place but we'll see. I suppose it creates the logic that good regular posting as the season continues is like a regular net session or something. Looking forward to S9 regardless
Sounds good. TBH, the one thing that has lacked in cricsim is irregular and lack of simming. Goes a long way to fixing that. The rankings etc stuff sounds interesting, but will reserve judgment until it's in practice
