    Please explain that last statement.
    Inglis
    Cooper
    Hodges
    Folau

  2. Speirz DG Speirs

Cooper seems to be a possibility. I wouldn't run with it, but he's a strong chance.

  3. Toolman TR Man

Folau is a far bigger liability in defence and can be exposed.

Inglis at centre > Inglis at wing

Hayne > Cooper... especially with Inglis at wing, you could never have Cooper at centre.

  4. Hybrid A Kolar

Hayne is a winger, not a centre. Not sure if you were inferring that by your post.

  5. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I agree with abosolutely nothing of what you just said.

  6. Toolman TR Man

You'd just have to read a few posts and you'd know I wasn't.

  7. Toolman TR Man

    Which further proves my point.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Are you trying to prove you have a limited league knowledge?

  9. Toolman TR Man

Okay, Inglis is more valuable on the wing than centre, having Cooper inside Inglis is an amazing idea, and Folau has never be a defensive concern. Now you can sleep tonight.

  10. Speirz DG Speirs

Disagree with that part, massively. He got shredded a couple of times last season. Just stick Cooper inside him and tell him to stay on his wing.

  11. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

the Inglis Centre/Wing debate is exactly that, will always come down to opinion. Cooper inside Inglis is a good idea, IMO. Folau is a massive defensive concern only when playing at centre, at wing he is great.

You'd like to see that, wouldn't you!

  13. GYR DW Lewis

    He was being sarcastic.

How is there even discussion on this? Monoghan surely has to slot onto the wing with Inglis at centre. There could be an argument for Cooper but I don't see the selectors moving GI out to the wing.

  15. GYR DW Lewis

The fact that Cooper hasn't been playing football at all due to injury will mean that he is highly unlikely to get picked.

  16. Alec AD Funkotron

I'm very happy with Greg Inglis at centre against the Kiwis. The only way I'd have him on the wing is if Tate was playing, but since he's not - Inglis at centre + Monas on the wing >>> Inglis on the wing + Cooper at centre.

I'm easy with either. If it was state of origin, I'd want Cooper, but it's not so all that matters is that one nswman will be in hte backline.

    AWTA!

Inglis's defence at rep level (or even at club level when marking good attacking players) in the centres has always been poor. It basically cost Queensland Game 1 last year, for example.

If Cooper was fit, I'd select him in the centres and put Inglis on the wing without a doubt. I'd solve the problem of Cooper not passing as much as he should by just swapping him and Inglis around in attack. So, basically, you'd have this in attack:

    Centre: Inglis
    Wing: Cooper

    And this in defence

    Centre: Cooper
    Wing: Inglis

It'd work awesomely IMO. Obv not going to happen though and I'm not even sure Cooper will be back by then.

    Cooper is back this week.
