Even if you didn't like the music, it'd still be pretty gun to seem SP live. Did you end up going to Gogol Bordello, or Chuck Berry on New Years Eve? Had a few magtes that went to Gogol Bordello that night and really enjoyed it.
Same, so good. End of the set she threw down the microphone and picked up her full bottle of jimmy started skulling it and walked off.
Steel Panther, So good. Played a tight set, Asian Hooker was my favourite, they get all the Asian girls on stage then bag the shit out of them while they dance. Bagged half the audience and their between songs banter is excellent. The guitarist is super-talented.
Speaking of live music. My band is going to sydney and canberra to do some shows. One in sydney tommorow, the 18th at FBi Social and the other in Canberra on the 21st at transit bar. If anyone wants to come get uber drunk that would be nice.
Adding to my original list, I've now seen Kasabian 3 times as well as: Mitzi The Whitest Boy Alive (awesome) Foster the People (awesome) Kanye West (shit) Ball Park Music (awesome) Matt Corby Stonefield 360 (shit)
Matt Corby was alright, but he puts on the whole "indie" thing a bit too much. My favourite was Stonefield. They're pretty simple musically but have a nice classic Led Zeppelin-like sound and they're actually cool considering they're four sisters and the youngest (the bass player) is only 14. As much as I dislike 360, the bogan Dalby crowd went off and it was absolutely pissing down which created an awesome atmosphere in the mosh pit. I was most looking forward to The Temper Trap but still don't regret going at all, it was pretty amazing. Worst part was the bus ride home.
