As much as it pains me to say it, I really quite rate this side.

edit - except for Davies, who couldn't buy a wicket.

With Watson you'd think you could just pick 4 bowlers, keeper at 7 and be done with it.
However I'd be really keen to utilise Prior at 6, Lee and Davies won't go all that well this time round IMO. How Harris goes is anyone's guess but yeah, I'd be keen to strengthen the bowling. Is disproportionately weak compared to your batting atm.

I rate Harris, I wasnted him in my side.

Sinclair is a steal at this point.

hmmm. I find it odd that you say this. While Harris' stats aren't great, I feel that he is one of the best fasties in the world atm. In regards to Davies, yeah, he had a poor season this one but it was a shortened season. I think that you'd be hard pressed to find a better bowler at this stage. Lee's is a different case. He's shown his class in the past and he still plays od cricket and still bowls quite well imo.

Having said all of this, I would really like to get an allrounder in there at 7. Originally I had Hopes penned in for that role but that's obviously out the window.

Might I say, tis a mighty strong looking squad you're building there Gerrard.

It helps when you start with half a team including bargains like Watto in rd 4.

    Be more shit

Yeah, because he got dropped. That's not really an excuse :p

Harris looks a bowler and I realise he's 15ks quicker than he was 3 years ago but I've jot actually looked to see if that's meant improved results. Davies had a shortened season because he was shit. He took 2 wickets in the entire season.and they were both in the final game. He bowled like 100 wickedness overs on the bounce. He was that bad.

As for Lee, he's not outstanding. Deteriorated quite obviously from the period where he was very good and \_/ for OD performances.

100 overs of wickedness is pretty good.

And od performances can show whether a bloke's still got it or not. I mean, despite Hodge retiring from fc cricket, it's obvious that he'd still destroy ****s in this because he rapes the Ryobi Cup.

Will he, or Watson, be ok to bat at 4? I notice that Sinclair now bats 4 in kiwi cricket.

    *wicketless
And yeah, the problem is Lee has always been miles better in od cricket than FC anyway.

Yeah Sinclair's always been a 3-5 batsman. NZ tried him as an opener because they had no-one else.

I still think that in a fc comp with 22 teams, he would still do pretty well. Obviously not a leader of the attack but amongst a bowling attack that includes Harris, Mendis and Watson, he should be able to hold his own.

    Super.
    3. Watson
    4. Sinclair
    5. Dussey

That middle order has got to be very close to the strongest in the comp.
