You really do love to take things out of context.

Test Cricket's the highest form of fc cricket but you trying to justify that Chris Swan and John Hastings are better than Sreesanth, Gul and others based on their fc average is ludicrous.

  3. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

You're saying they're better because they have actually played test matches. I'd take my boys everyday of the week infront of the terrorist mother ****ers.

  4. Cribbage RG Cribb

    u mad kat?

  5. Mousey AJ Son

Sreesanth is shithouse. I'd take anyone over him.

  6. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    He is ****ing terrible.

  7. Eds E Ames

    Lol. Yep, horrific.

    Suck it up

It's interesting that Cribb seems to rate Sreesanth and Nel reasonably highly as opening bowlers. I think they're both pretty average.

Brett Geeves added. Exactly half my side are Australian now.

    Your team is half good.

    Van Wyk and Cutting added.
Benny Cutting's a potential star if he gets his injuries in order. Leading wicket taker in last season's Sheffield Shield.

Surprised you've not picked a proper reserve batsman yet. I suppose you can always shunt Prior up to 6 and bring one of the all rounders in.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

Styris is a proper reserve batsman tbh. His First Class batting average is dragged down by his games as specialist bowler at the dawn of time which won't mean much.

Martin Love's been snapped up. If nothing else he'll provide the side with a good physio. He's only been retired for 18 months though and he had no drop off in form before retiring. I know that he went shit last cpl but I think that that was more luck. as a back up option, I think that he'd still go well.

Even though I'm fully expecting the first trial to be at least 4 months away, I think that I'll be looking at something like the following:

    1. Andrew Puttick
    2. Salman Butt
    3. Martin Love
    4. Mat Sinclair
    5. Dave Hussey
    6. Scott Styris
    7. Morne Van Wyk+
    8. Nathan Hauritz
    9. Brett Lee
    10. Brett Geeves
    11. Ben Cutting

I'm not going to bother playing Cooper in any trials because I don't realistically see a point in the tournament where he will be getting used. I'd sooner play Van Wyk and use Prior as a specialist batsman.

Jesus Rogers + Sinclair look good.

Some of the others may be a bit of a worry however.

haha. I was halfway through doing this when you posted. Thanks.

Lee's figures look pretty shit but it must be taken into account that those games were all at test level or on touring sides. I think that he's well and truly shown in the recent oders that he's still got what it takes. Obviously he was always better at od cricekt anyway but he should be able to do a pretty good job for me.

The batting is where the real strength is. Butt's the odd man out but it's mostly at test level that he has yielded that average so I'm not too concerned.
