Is the Big shitters league likely to become an official cricsim end of season award?

5-4-3-2-1 POTS and 5-4-3-2-1 COTS points for BS and ALC (FC matches only)

    Nope; just Callum's thing.

Yeah agreed I really failed with the delivery. What's worse is I knew I was and still did it.

    terrible

Personally, i think heading down the dim sim path would have been slightly funnier

On the subject of Provincial Pitches (which you've already said aren't happening). In Fromthepavilion, when there are National Tours, you play at various different club grounds.

Could we have a situation where at the start of the season, each province could choose a particular club's home ground to play at?

For example, if NZ had really strong seam bowling, maybe we'd choose to have our home games at the Gunnstar Asphalt Rectangle (yeah, right)

But I'm thinking this maybe more of an analogue for real life where each national team has to play at County/State grounds rather than having their own.

Let me put it this way. All the provincial matches will be played at the CribbSim Complex next season.

Alright, alright. Keep your Alans on.

You didn't explain why no provincial pitches earlier so thought it might have been the realism issue.

  9. Cribbage RG Cribb

It that was it I would have said so. :p

I just don't like the idea of it. Don't exactly know why but I'd rather we left some of the purity in the provincial system.

My guess is he doesn't want selectors to have to take that into consideration. It's dumb enough how ALC players get to play in the BS because they're playing on a particular pitch, even when the people they're replacing are going to be better than them anyway.

Well - I don't get it. The same pitch for every game seems to me more like sterility or cricketing eugenics than 'purity', but so be it.

Flacks a champ, he'll know what to do

Something worth thinking about for mine is limiting how much pitches can change from season to season. You don't see the WACA turning into the SCG over only one offseason.

  14. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Yeah - you shouldn't just be able to completely change the pitch in order to accommodate a star signing. Would be hard on teams who've lost their spearhead though, perhaps.

  15. Speirz DG Speirs

The nature of the game though, might be harsh to begin with but it'd rule out any ridiculously h4x pitches becoming commonplace. I'd suggest that it'd be along the lines of what we used to be able to change each week.

Some salary cap type deal/multi-season contracts to promote loyalty.

    Didnt answer my question

By body strain logic players who have bigger scores in a game should get Injured more than players who get ducks. Allrounders should always be the most injures and fast bowlers should get injured more than spinners

Kp isn't more likely to get injured than Bresnan if he checks down a couple of overs of offies

The whole idea is stupid as fuck

Getting the schedule linked in with the calender, like season uhh, 10 i think? (where the matches used to come up as events)

  19. Mike ML Martyn

The club board (President, Hor, Cos etc) should all sign a multi-season contract when they initially get selected into that position.

    2 provincial trial competitions.

NSW v. VIC v. QLD in the O'Driscoll Shield

and NZ v. Asia v. GB v. Celtics in the International Shield.
