But if you don't have 22, you can't just replace inactive bowlers - what happens is that you end up with bowlers batting 5. Better off not signing more players so you get filler batsmen.
Selfish stuff by the clubs though. Nobody remembers who wins ALC titles, and they could just as easily miss out on the next gun player. As it is there's nothing to stop us signing up the next batsman who comes along anyway.

Theres a special kind of irony in the registrations page warning people of the excess of bowlers/bowling all rounders when our ALC team will consist of only 1 real bowler
