Between Bullpitt, Howe, Dyer and Storer plus a few other allrounders I figured we would do quite well.
Fourth in ALC bowling isn't bad though, especially when you consider the fact that there is basically no difference at all between 2nd and 4th. If Storer was a spinner you'd be second.
Ah, once you mentioned it, I did read back and noticed its only a 1 point difference in it. Fair enough.
New members keep signing up in bowling-based roles. Clubs are better off not signing them when they happens.
** It should be noted that we are currently experiencing a excess of bowlers and bowling allrounders. While you may sign up as anything you like, signing up as a predominantly bowling player will probably decrease your chances of getting a team early. ** People to l2read.
Rumour - A certain captain of a team whose name starts with a "C" is about to transfer to another team.
But if you don't have 22, you can't just replace inactive bowlers - what happens is that you end up with bowlers batting 5. Better off not signing more players so you get filler batsmen.
Selfish stuff by the clubs though. Nobody remembers who wins ALC titles, and they could just as easily miss out on the next gun player. As it is there's nothing to stop us signing up the next batsman who comes along anyway.
