You've been warned! I just saw it, felt very let down by the movie. Not because it was a bad movie, just because that cinema these days appeals to the middle class viewer, one without a mid to extract the movie and find the greatness in it. I think Nolan could've done better disguising a few of the twists and guns he used. Robin was fucking obvious from the time i knew he was a orphan who knew who batman was. But then slipping in the line so all the dumb people could figure it out was shit. Ruined the whole, him finding the cave. Miranda was obviously going to double cross Batman/Bruce, there was too much importance put on the fusion thing for her to not do anything. Plus the prison prophet dude never said Bane, so i had an inkling that that the child wasn't bane. Cat Woman was done right, except at the end she should've have been with Bruce because that would never never work. As i said, disappointed in how it ended because it went from a Comic film to a Money maker/appeal to the masses. I knew it would.
I knew it would be Talia Al Ghul but I did personally enjoy the Bane/Talia relationship twist that revolved around the child. I wonder if it would have been better to end the film with Caine looking across at the cafe and not showing us what he saw.
I would've preferred that too and no cheesy "I like your name....Robin" Would've made the film better. Just make things more subtel, please!
I didn't mind the Robin thing so much since he wasn't actually any incarnation of Robin. Seemed like despite his name being Robin he was just going to be Batman in my eyes.
Or a variation of it. But yeah even though I didn't mind it, it didn't add anything to the film at all. Scarecrow cameo was ftw.
Thought it was pretty meh, probably because I watched TDK earlier this week and everything in it was far superior. Tbh you probably should have guessed Gordon Levitt was the new Batman when Bane was announced as the villain.
Pointless as we all would have known it anyway. Good but long my first reaction. Pacing still an issue. Liked Catwoman/Selina Kyle a lot, actually. I actually thought the ending was by far the best part of the movie, tbh.
i enjoyed it, and the talia twist baine has to be one of the better bad guys i think, behind joker of course but yeah knew it would end that way when alfred first told of his fantasy, obvious foreshadowing
Where do people get the Baine spelling from? The real word bane is the same as the characters. Find it pretty confusing, have people earnestly just never come across the word before and are spelling it phonetically?
Joker. He wouldn't bother trying to actually fight Bane and just shoot/blow him up or something. Bane is too methodical to catch the Joker IMO.
