Yeah quite enjoyed that. The "ask me tomorrow" bit bugged me. Smacks of trying too hard to make every companion have a slightly different introduction without actually diverting at all from the formula.
As an avid Dr Who fan i quite enjoyed the episode. I had one or two minor criticisms but ill re watch it later and make a note.
Think I posted something about this somewhere in the Rays subbie a while back. People obviously enjoy different thing different amounts, but when someone points out something objectively bad about a show, it's difficult for you not to agree with them even if you hadn't noticed it and it hadn't affected your enjoyment.
Haha yes exactly. I love talking to someone like Spark about plot and character development, but while there's absolutely nothing wrong with Howe's post, it will just make me like the show less. There's no way in a million years I'd have made the same observation, but he's right of course, and now I'll notice it whenever it comes up again.
Luckily enough we don't get new companions anywhere near often enough for that particular observation to affect my enjoyment much. My TV-watching life would be so much happier had I never read a sledger post though.
