    So would it be better to let the sime create players and then people can decide what stats they have even if it does not affect the way they perform in the game.

    If players having stats means absolutely nothing then I don't get why there would even be stats at all. They must mean something, otherwise it'd just create player names.

    If you can't manually adjust player's stats then just randomly create the players, but don't then change them. It should allow people to get a feel for who the good and bad players are.

    I agree with everything here.

    Thing is I don't think he can adjust how the sim handles the randomisation each season.

    I agree with this, except won't the bad players struggle to find teams? Obviously at the start it won't happen, but when everyone knows who's good and bad it could make things a bit messy since there'd be no room for the bad guys to improve or the good guys to get worse.
