Don't worry i got the message awhile ago, but your point is fail because basically you aren't needed... he will be good with you, and just as good without you, basically you will make no difference whatsoever.

  2. Cribbage RG Cribb

Nah Yates will be a fair bit better with Gemmell than without him.

  3. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

You really fail at trying to argue or bait or whatever you're trying.

Exactly why you kept replying, ey. Do you really think I don't recognise that with your massive post count you won't be a good player next season. But honestly if you think that his success lives and dies on your back you really need to get a reality check, because there are players at each of the clubs who would be there to help him be more succesful. For exaple If he were at the Hawks with Gayler and Toolman, he would be better off then running off you IMHO.

  5. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

No, he really wouldn't. He is going to capitalize the most from offloads. And I'm the best at that.

  6. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

Disagree, if he were a creative fullback then I would say yes, he would be better in broken play ie off offloads, but as a running fullback he would be better off running into holes which means he is better off on a team with good structure and a good creative half.

  7. Arheiner SIA Yates

Since Boob's a Creative lock, he's going to allow me to do the damage which you seem to be ignoring.

  8. Gazza GJ Weaver

And you know this how? No one knows anything till the season begins so shut up

Me and Boobidy are going to be setting Arheiner up with plenty of ball next season, Boob to a greater extent though of course.

I love how so many of you are saying that X and Y are going to happen when the sim that is supposedly going to make these things happen hasn't even been finished.

I'm not ignoring anything, a creative lock isn't as good as a creative half imo at starting backline movements, which is what a good running fullback relies on. A creative fullback works better around the middle of the ruck of the back of hookers and forward play and In broken play, whereas a running fulback plays at the edges and is more like Karmicheal who will either step or fend through gaps.

Running fullback - Brett Stewart, Minichello etc. Usually stays around where the ball is, and supports the forwards and what not waiting for them to offload.

Creative fullback - Karmichael Hunt. Relies more on the halves, like Hunt relies on Lockyer.

That's the way I see it, basically the opposite of yours.

Minni relied on his superb tackle break ablility, which requires him to get into half gaps, and what i have seen of stewart shows him as more of a finisher, particularly at the end of backline movments, granted I hate manly and don't watch there games all that often.

As for K, he never really played as a creative fullback IMO much more off a running game, at least until towards the end off this year. or when Lockyer wasn't playing through Injury.

  14. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Couldn't disagree more.

Yates as a runner will be trying to run through gaps, best way to produce a decent gap is with some good offloading. His support play will benefit greatly.

  15. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

See I would say the best way to create gaps is to spread the defence which you can do best by a good backline movement, this is how brisbane have been so successful for years.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

There is football outside of Brisbane.

  17. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

    Really, are you serious.

Have you not heard of the concept of examples.

IMO the best examples currently of "creative" fullbacks are Billy Slater and Jarryd Hayne both of whom do most of there damage in the middle off second phase play. These are players who are capable of creating somthing out of nothing, as compared to relying on hitting the line at speed, but rather createing there own gaps and spaces to make line breaks.

  18. Alec AD Funkotron

I dunno what planet you are from, but I'm pretty sure in Prince's sim, and in real life, creative fullbacks create for others, not for themselves. I dunno how you can call Slater creative when all he does is pass the ball into the crowd.

  19. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Steve officially has no idea.

  20. kingdamo DRP Taylor

Yeah Scuba Steve, you're out of it.
