Game 2 - North v South (completed)

Well watching the morning session from Day 2 of the England India Test match has driven me to need sleep. So 10am is now more likely.

 

This now. In 5 minute chunks.

 

Min. 1 : (nth) CJ_Laing slows the ball down and waits for support
... A team mate overlaps him now
... He uses his team mates run as a decoy and heads towards the goal!
... CJ_Laing rifles a shot towards goal!
... It takes a deflection!
... AD_Hunt is wrong footed!
... It drifts just wide!
... CORNER!
... SM_Morgan curls it into the box!
... LV_Himann gets on the end of it
... AD_Hunt gets his fingertips to it
... It's pushed around the post to safety
... CORNER!
... AJ_James plays it towards the near post!
... AD_Hunt easily claims the ball!

Min. 1 : (sth) AJ_Son finds BA_Storer with a ball over the defence
... BA_Storer with a scorcher of a shot !
... The shot takes a wicked deflection
... RST_Downpipes dives desperately to try and save it!!
... And RST_Downpipes tips it wide!
... Great goalkeeping!
... CORNER!
... SP_Phlegm plays it into the danger area!
... RST_Downpipes fists it away!

Min. 2 : (nth) LA_Pilgrim with a simple pass to SDR_Laing
... SDR_Laing with the chance !
... It hits the bar!!
... But he picks up the rebound
... OHHHHHHHH !!
... He's put it wide

Min. 2 : (sth) BA_Storer skips the challenge from LA_Pilgrim
... LA_Pilgrim reacts well to win the ball back

 

Min. 6 : (sth) BA_Storer with the dribble
... BA_Storer attempts a low drive!
... RST_Downpipes parries it, he follows it up
... He fires it over!!

Min. 10 : (nth) AJ_James can't keep control of it and loses possession!
... He goes in hard and wins it back!
... He creates some space for an opening!
... BA_Storer read the danger and stops the pass

Min. 10 : (sth) SP_Phlegm back heels to find AJ_Son in space
... SDR_Laing cuts out the pass

Min. 13 : (sth) HJ_Bots has the ball on the wing
... He knocks the ball past JE_McGrath!
... He has some space now!

... He tries the lob!
... It grazes the post!
... And hits the side netting
... Goal Kick!

Min. 15 : (sth) HJ_Bots knocks it past JE_McGrath and runs onto it
... He showed great skill and pace there
... JE_McGrath goes in hard to win the ball back

 

Min. 16 : (sth) AJ_Son knocks it past SDR_Laing and runs onto it
... He showed great skill and pace there
... AJ_Son goes for goal !
... RST_Downpipes watches it sail wide!

Min. 19 : (nth) LV_Himann takes possession
... Knocks it past DA_Eggman
... He's through on goal
... LV_Himann sights up the goal
... He shoots!
... It takes a deflection!
... But sails wide!
... CORNER!
... SDR_Laing floats the ball in!
... SM_Morgan gets a shot in
... AD_Hunt makes a great save
... But he can't hold onto it!
... He gathers it at the second attempt!

... He applauds the crowd
... Looks like his replacement will play MF

... SP_Phlegm latches onto the ball
... SP_Phlegm flicks the header toward the far post!

... SDR_Laing hits a great drive!
... But AD_Hunt makes a comfortable save

... The shot slips through AD_Hunt's hands
