Southee never translates his FC form into tests for me and Bracewell is the worst NZer in the game, so it will be interesting to see how your versions go.

  2. Gazza GJ Weaver

Yeah, Bracewell has been terrible with the ball.

  3. Iridium IT Lee

Interesting they have Haddin opening in Tests.

  4. Gazza GJ Weaver

Even more so is the runs he's scoring. Not ideal

  5. Mike ML Martyn

Ben Wheeler's been gun so far.

Yeah Southee has always struggled for me. I tend to pick Regens as soon as they come through. :p

I'll know to pick Wheeler now.

Williamson. WAG. Pity about the classic NZ choke though. The tailend made it look a bit more respectable but still shit.

New year to test young NZ squad’s depth

New Zealand will begin the new year by taking on the West Indies in a two match test series followed by
3 ODIs and 2 T20Is. After the short unsuccessful tour of Australia where they lost 1-0 the young NZ team will be
looking to gain some confidence to retain their places for the summer. The schedule is as follows...

    2 Jan 2012 – 1st Test Match
    9 Jan 2012 – 2nd Test Match
    16 Jan 2012 – 1st ODI
    18 Jan 2012 – 2nd ODI
    20 Jan 2012 – 3rd ODI
    22 Jan 2012 – 1st T20I
    24 Jan 2012 – 2nd T20I

The selectors have gone for a 12 man squad which includes only one new face in Trent Boult. The 22 year old has
just come off a 3 week layoff where he had injured his left leg. The left armer has been in some good form recently where he has taken 11 first class wickets at an average of only 20.
According to the chief selector he may find himself a spot in the starting lineup in place of Tim Southee where his 3 wickets against Australia came at a costly rate of 82 runs per wicket while Bracewell has been lucky to retain his spot.

The 12 man test squad for the West Indian series is...

    Kane Williamson (c) Northern Districts

    Martin Guptill (vc) Auckland

    Josh Brodie Wellington

    George Worker Canterbury

    Ben Smith Central Districts

    Jeet Raval Auckland

    Tom Latham (wk) Canterbury

    Doug Bracewell Central Districts

    Ben Wheeler Central Districts

    Tim Southee Northern Districts

    Nic Beard Otago

    Trent Boult Northern Districts

Haha in my current game I beat Aus in the first test, which never happens, only to be up against it in the second test batting for a draw and Bout at eleven in the last over of the match did that back away and cut thing and nicked it.

    I've never forgiven him.
