    Potential is linked somewhat closely to the careers the players have had. That being said potential can sometimes increase. Players who didn't have the greatest of careers can still perform, though not as regularly or consistently as good players.

    Would love it if there wasn't. Everyone would blow there teams up with trades so that they are either title contenders in the next few seasons or tanking for early picks
