If I was able to average at least 30 with the bat I think that would help GB tbh, we do not really have a good allround option just now which does not help our batting line up.
If you didnt open you would bat 4 and Luffers 3. Out of the actual GB eligible guys Luffers is clearly the best number 3. You have also performed at 4 this season.
Well Deane is developing nicely as a batting allrounder, and Logan took 5 wickets in the last BS match. You're in your 1st firsts season so things will improve for you, and Farny is in the team effectively as a specialist anyway. So I think next season or the season after we'l be fine.
TBH I would reckon myself and Logan will be fighting for the Allrounder spot next season not Nova. IMO our allrounder will bat 7 whoever it is so their bowling will be as important as their batting for me which might hold Marcuss back a bit.
I think this depends on how Edwards, Ridd, McDougal etc go. If you could get another genuine fast bowler to come through and play consistent BS cricket, you could drop Smith, have a four-pronged pace attack and have Deane bat 6 and bowl his offies (presuming he was playing well himself). It's another balance option within itself.. it's require a fair few things to happen, but it's not out of the question and something that should be considered.
Well GB just got a new Leg spinner who signed up the other day. If he stays active, he could be huge. I think Edwards could be pushing, he's been very active since his arrival, but Ridd has been here for quite a while hasn't he? And McDougal is mainly in this for RU.
