    Yeah don't let Citizen Kane put you off other films of a similar vintage. Orson Welles was obviously a gun in his day but there are other directors of that time that haven't aged at all.

    There are a lot of movies in that list which are better than Shawshank IMHO.

    I have nothing against that movie, it's a really good movie. But no. 1 really overrates it.
