.. the fact that there are no real rivalries on CricSim anymore. Allstars v Deadhacks used to be what CricSim was about.
Yeah and the whole Saders vs Rays thing never kicked off. It would be good to see some proper rivalries on here and not just everyone against the Gaymblers.
Stickies v Crusaders was a decent rivalry back in the day too. I think people try too hard to manufacture them these days and it just fails as a result.
Ravens v Pumas actually was a decent rivalry early on, but the Ravens pretty much just won out. The Pumas are now essentially a self-pitying emo club whose members constantly talk about shit/unlucky they are even when they're going well - it's hard to really stick the boot into a club that does it to itself constantly anyway. If they had unrealistic confidence at all times it could have taken off but alas, no.
The Rays are a different sort of club. We don't have enough hated ****s, and that's the image we're going for. The Stickies had blokes like Dense, Prod and Zaka who got picked on consistenly. It allowed for the club to all get behind them.
Provincial alliances > Clubs it would seem. The number of "Go *instert province*" posts in BS match threads ridiculously outweighs the number of posts cheering on sides because they want the opposition to lose.

Yeah I would say especially amongst the Kiwis and Brits which I suppose goes with the whole new breed changing CricSim.
