Yeah, it almost makes me want to have a provincial round every week. Lots of people were saying they only wanted one BS round per week, so we could go something like this: Sunday - BS Game 1 + ALC Game 1 Monday - BS Game 2 + ALC Game 2 Tuesday - BS Game 3 + ALC Game 3 Wednesday - BS Game 4 + ALC Game 4 Thursday - All four Horrigan Cup games Friday - Two Provincial games Saturday - Rest day/Herald release That might take the whole "rep" feeling away from it and just make it another game though. *shrugs*
I think it would just turn it into another game and take away from the provinicial stuff a bit too. It would almost be like you were playing for 2 sides if it was set up like.
On a serious note though it would actually give people more of a chance to play rep cricket because I think selection would then start to become far more form oritentated than slection on your previous record.
I'm fine, I made 12th man last match, so no problems there, but blokes like Verigoatcheese should at least get a mention.
Proper rivalries are immense and make for much better enjoyment, especially when your team wins. Manufactured rivalries are shite....hopefully a true rivalry will emerge.
Crusaders Stingrays was meant to be a big rivalry this season iirc but it never really amounted to what I thought it would which was a shame. Gamblors will no doubt have a rivalry with someone sooner rather than later
Gamblers/Pumas could make for a decent rivalry if some signings are pulled off. We want Allstars/Redhacks!
