Yeah I think they are definite places with potential. You can get round them deleting posts if you know people from the forum and just approach them directly rather than spamming their boards.
Are there anyone good left from Sidhe & RLeague? We aren't gonna get a lot of dice with other CW members, though those that signed up for my sim should be worth targeting.
Any Irish blokes on CW? I would love to get a Celtic side set up but I am not really sure where I would to recruit. Certainly in Scotland there are plenty of football (soccer) forums that blokes go on, but I don't know of any cricket related ones.
NasserFan is Irish and signed up for my sim over there, he's worth targeting. There's Uppercunt, but if he was interested he'd have already come here I think.
Yeah there are a few actually. Irish_Opener and IrishOpener would probably like this forum but I don't think anyone knows either of them very well to ask them to join.
I think you'd have more dice with NasserFan (Irish_Opener) rather than IrishOpener as NasserFan's a lot more active.
BigFooty definitely has some untapped potential, if we get an AFLSim up and running we could well jag a crowd.
Are the stickcricket forums down? I remember they used to be pretty busy around 2005 when I last popped in there. There's a good pool right there.
Biggest contributor to cricsim over the offseason was the England-india series getting folks banned from CW. Anyway, I was thinking of bringing up r/cricket but I'm almost certain it's just you lot, plus a few random youtube comments.
Yeah they were pretty active, I think they actually had their own cricket simulation, dunno whether they still do but if any of the guys who enjoyed that are still there we could definitely tap them up.
