Asking this out of interest. Are there any players registered as defensive bowlers in this site? Not specialist bowlers or all-rounders. Any one with defensive bowling? Should be really helpful in this format.

Coincidence that the person who didn't contribute is inactive?

Great win fellas. Happy with my contributions there, especially with the ball!

  14. Callum CJ Laing

Thats really not many. Most bowlers aggressive?

  15. Shri G Shriram

    Aggressive and moderate mostly.

  16. Baxter MJ Deane

Well that is 2/3 of the categories

  17. Callum CJ Laing

One must be more though. Which is what I wanted to know. Not the 2 categories left

Yeah, especially since some of those players are specialist batsmen are some are wicket keepers.

Green, Chung and Sebastian have actually been more effective in 5-day cricket, funnily enough, but Weaver's been pretty much the best OD bowler in the comp despite being a rookie and being an allrounder, so that says something. Being a batting allrounder with defensive bowling is really effective as the batting allrounders aren't really expected to take wickets in OD cricket anyway... Gonzalez and Borisc in particular have basically become frontline bowlers just with their ability to tie up and end. Speirs was the same last season but he's been hammered a bit this season.

    79 aggressive, 105 moderate.

Moderate's generally more common because entering aggression is optional, and players who don't enter one are put in as moderate.

I am guessing the majority of aggressive bowlers will be specialists or all rounders. Huge gap between those and defensive though.
