    Jamal Idris

Firstly, does anybody know if that photo is real or not? I sincerely hope it is. He's going to need some extra padding for the barrage I'm going to unleash on this overpaid, underperforming practical joke by the Gold Coast Titans on their own fans, muppet, stank-haired, black (I know, but come on, it ain't helping), clusterfuck of a footballer. This guy occupies a role which requires you to position yourself, run lines, commit defenders, and create for your outside man. Jamal doesn't position himself, except on his knees for the occasional head job of the head coach. I mean, is there any other possible explanation for Cartwright's fondness of him? Jamal can run lines and actually sometimes reminds me of a wild animal. In the African Safari. That animal is the baby giraffe.........with Giraffe parkinson's. Here's footage of Jamal warming up for his first game in under 8's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VygGuMyM3Jw

This man, (I mean I assume it's a man. Kinda looks like Tracy Chapman if Tracy Chapman could possibly be any more butch + dreadlocks), is being paid $400,000 a season to, ah, play football. Again, I'm just speculating, but I assume that's why he's being paid that money. Jamal is actually an Arabic name which means "beauty." It can sometimes also mean "Slumdog Millionaire..........who should be playing park football." I hope at least one person gets that reference.

End of the day Jamal Idris is a monster. He answers to no one, and that has nothing to do with not being able to speak English. So here's to him/her/it, and the Titans. Good luck in 2013, and never let those bitch tits drag you down.

    Too harsh?

Unexpected more than anything, wasn't much of a review as it was shredding Jamal a new one. I hate the kent anyway so it's alright by my books.

Meh, he was pretty good at the Doggies. Overrated in the media but he was still exciting and worked hard usually, which is a pretty far cry from his time at the Titans. He's just earning a paycheck up here, see him out on the piss all the time.

I regularly saw idris in kings cross even saw him at stereosonic last year. He's a Gaylord, walks around like he owns the joint with his Gaylord mates pushing people out of his way.

I think he is on par with Tony Williams as the most overrated player in the world. Both are backs turned forwards or forwards turned backs.

Did you rate him at the Doggies at all?

  10. SM MD Dorn

Yeah, bit short cited. Idris was a great player at the Doggies. Made it to origin. Problem was he got exposed and pretty much realised he'll never make it back there.

Along come the Titans waving a massive cheque book. Signing him on big dosh for a long time, virtually securing his future and allowing him to be a regular in FG (he'd never get dropped based on his money).

So he now just cruises doing fuck all at the titans but making huge money.

Fake photo though, he only got fat at the Titans

I thought he had the potential to become a quality player. He's barely even FG standard any more.

Met this guy at NYE at Byron, seemed like an alright bloke. Agree about him being an overrated sack of shit though.

Yeah, fair enough. I think that photo's real too, he wasn't exactly slender at the Doggies. It's a shame he put on so much weight, I think he could have been a really good centre for the majority of his career before shifting into the pack. He seems to not really care honestly, when he was playing at the Dogs he would often be the player to come up with a strong run or something similar late in the game when we really needed it.

Yeah this. Tbh, when I opened this thread I was expecting it to be about Hodges.

  15. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I have no idea why you'd assume such a thing.

  16. Harry Sack SB Slippy

Tbh, neither do I. It was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title. I had just finished in the Origin thread so maybe that's it.

Me saying a bad word about Hodges? I find that unthinkable on it's face :p

Review some more players. Just not ones we already know what you think of.

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

I didn't; certainly not anywhere near as highly most other people anyway. He was obviously a lot better than he is now though.

People actually rated this guy ? smh
